Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using our website or purchasing any services from Léo Langue Institut. By accessing our website or purchasing our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. About Us

Léo Langue Institut is an online French language preparation service specializing exclusively in TEF Canada and TCF Canada exam preparation for Canadian immigration purposes. We operate online and deliver all lessons by video call.

2. Services

We provide the following services:

• Individual live online French lessons with qualified teachers
• Fixed-term coaching programs with a defined lesson schedule
• Exam preparation for TEF Canada and TCF Canada
• Free French level placement assessments
• Free 15-minute consultation calls
• Written examiner-style feedback after every lesson

All lessons are delivered online. We do not guarantee specific exam results — outcomes depend on individual effort, starting level, and exam conditions outside our control.

3. Programs, Agreements & Payment

All prices are listed in Canadian Dollars (CAD) and are stated before applicable taxes.

• Selecting a program on this website does not create a payment obligation. No payment is collected at that point.
• Each program is governed by a written agreement stating the start date, the end date, the normal lesson schedule, the total tax-inclusive price and the exact calendar date each instalment falls due.
• The first instalment becomes payable when instruction begins. Later instalments fall due on the dates set out in your agreement, spread across your program term.
• Instruction is charged at CAD $35 per instructional hour in every program. A program's price is its number of instructional hours at that rate; there are no packages, add-ons or other fees.
• Individual sessions are paid for at the time of booking.
• Programs are personal to the student named in the agreement and are not transferable to another person.
• We may change our published prices at any time. A change never affects a program agreement already signed.

4. Scheduling & Attendance

Lesson times are agreed between the student and their teacher and recorded in the program agreement. The following rules apply:

• Lessons should be cancelled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours' notice
• How a lesson missed with less than 24 hours' notice is treated is set out in your agreement
• If we cancel a lesson, it is rescheduled at no charge and your program term is extended if needed
• We will make every effort to accommodate your schedule but cannot guarantee specific time slots outside those in your agreement

5. Student Responsibilities

To get the most from your program, students agree to:

• Attend scheduled lessons punctually
• Complete assigned practice exercises between lessons
• Communicate openly with their teacher about areas of difficulty
• Respect their teacher and our team
• Not share course materials with third parties

6. Intellectual Property

All course materials, study guides, and content provided by Léo Langue Institut are our intellectual property. You may use these materials for your personal study only. You may not reproduce, distribute, sell, or share our materials without our written permission.

7. No Guarantee of Results

While we are committed to providing high-quality preparation, we cannot guarantee that you will pass your French language exam. Exam outcomes depend on many factors including your starting level, effort, study habits, exam-day conditions, and examiner assessment — all of which are outside our control.

We make no promise, express or implied, about the result of any examination, and nothing on this website should be read as one.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Léo Langue Institut shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services, including but not limited to failed exam results, immigration application outcomes, or loss of opportunity.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the amount you paid under the relevant agreement.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use our website or services to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Harass, abuse, or harm our team members or other students
• Share login credentials or session access with unauthorized persons
• Reproduce or distribute our proprietary course materials
• Submit false information in our forms or applications

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to our services if you violate these Terms of Service. If we do so, amounts owed by either party are settled in accordance with your agreement and applicable Québec consumer-protection law.

11. Cancellation

You may cancel your program at any time. If you cancel before instruction begins, no charge applies. After instruction begins, the amount payable is determined according to Québec consumer-protection law. See our Cancellation & Refund Policy for details.

12. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws applicable in Québec, Canada. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the Québec Consumer Protection Act.

13. Language

These terms are available in French and English. Your program agreement is provided in French, and in English if you ask for it.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. Changes never alter a program agreement already signed. We will notify you of significant changes via email where possible.
